A major Australian research university identified the need to streamline its operations, modernise its data and transform its enterprise platforms to better support its teaching, research, and student experience goals.
An enterprise-wide investment was established as a flagship initiative to deliver this change. The program brought together the integrated implementation of modern, AI-enabled platforms - including Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, ServiceNow Enterprise Service Management, Payroll, Rostering and Scheduling, Time and Attendance, and related capabilities to streamline processes, improve data quality, strengthen compliance, and give professional staff more time to focus on what matters most: education and research. When we were engaged, the programme required renewed momentum, stronger cross-functional alignment, more effective governance, much greater definition, and a robust, fully costed investment case to move forward with confidence. Embedded as Programme Director with direct accountability to the C-suite, Vice-Chancellor and Council. The engagement began with a structured 30-day diagnostic covering vendor contractual obligations, integration architecture, data migration completeness, and change readiness across all faculties. A revised delivery model was established: single point of vendor accountability, fortnightly executive steering with binding escalation authorities, and a faculty change network of over 140 champions across all academic divisions. Technical delivery was restructured around a parallel-run approach that addressed the complexity challenges constraining previous go-live windows. Precision introduced a risk-based planning framework, ensuring every critical-path dependency carried a tested fallback position before sign-off.

The engagement changed how we think about programme governance. We moved from an organisation wary of its own complexity to one that now delivers through it with confidence.

Our practitioners have led programmes of comparable scale and complexity across the Higher Education sector. We bring the same rigour, the same practitioner-led model, and the same commitment to outcomes that defined this engagement.
